CineCiutat helps you stay home
We all know the situation and we know that sometimes it is difficult to fight sadness. However, if there is one thing we know at CineCiutat, it is optimism. So, it's not all bad news: progress is being made on a possible cure; more and more people are respecting social distance; creators and cultural initiatives are opening their content online; it's already spring; we continue to clap every day at 8pm...
Within our limits and following our social vocation, from CineCiutat we also have some good news: being aware of the current situation and knowing that some of the rewards of our campaign included subscription bonds to Filmin and MUBI, we decided to talk to our crowdfunding platform, Goteo Foundation, and they have allowed us to bring forward the delivery of that part of the rewards. Thus, all the people who have acquired or will acquire these rewards, in the next few days will receive a code to start enjoying the best cinema and the best series. We remember that those rewards are:
- Digital Cinephile MUBI (25€), which includes 1 month's subscription to MUBI, 1 totebag and your name on the thank you list for saving CineCiutat. And of which there are still 31 units available.
- Digital Cinephile Filmin (30€), which includes 3 months of basic Filmin subscription and your name in the thank-you list for saving CineCiutat (and which were sold out on the first day of the campaign).
- Digital Cinephile MUBI Premium (115€), which includes a 1-year MUBI subscription, 1 Paris Texas MUBI flipbook, 1 MUBI totebag, 1 T-shirt, and your name on the thank you list for saving CineCiutat (also sold out)
CineCiutat, moreover - or, as we always say, above all - is people and our vocation is to serve the community. And even if we decided to close our doors to help flatten the curve, that doesn't mean that the people behind CineCiutat don't continue working on ways to pitch in - from our own homes, of course. And since we are people who love culture in all its variations, we decided to tell you what our team and volunteers are watching to pass the time these days. So, every week, through our social networks and the special (and hopefully short-lived) edition of our newsletter "Diary of a Quarantine", we'll be sharing cultural leisure options to do from our homes, from museums or concerts to, obviously, movies and series. The first recommendation, very appropriate today, is 'Tales of the Four Seasons' by Éric Rohmer (A Tale of Springtime, A Tale of Winter, A Summer’s Tale and An Autumn Tale).
Thank you all for keeping us in your minds and thank you for staying home, but above all, thank you to all of you who go out every day to keep us healthy, safe, fed, informed and connected. On we go!
