Development of the EMOTIOMETER user manual, Emotional Education basic concepts manual, cut and colour printable activities, activities to work emotions at home and at the school, developed together with experts in the different areas. The activities will be general, so they can be easily adapted
DESIGN AND DEVELOP OF THE CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN
It include the necessary tasks to elaborate materials for the crowdfunding campaign, contacts, visits to schools to introduce the project and ask for support, communication effort, marketing plan, marketing advertising on social networks, crowdfunding campaign manging.
ALERTS PROGRAMMING BASED ON INDICATORS THAT EXPERSTS CONSIDER IMPORTANT
The main objective of the EMOTIOMETER is to be a tool that will help discovering problems in an early stage. We need to collaborate with experts, researchers and schools that want to collaborate in researching in order to identify emotional patterns that can show indicators of worrying problems such as bullying, depression and others. This patterns will be used in the EMOTIOMETER to warn teachers about these problems. This task include experts help, school data processing, support to participants in the research, face-to-face support. We consider that the social benefit is clear and it is worth to make a coordinated effort.
ANALISIS, DESIGN, PROGRAMMING, AND TESTING TO IMPROVE THE ACCESIBILITY, USABILITY AND
We want the EMOTIOMETER to be accessible to kids with learning issues, in order to get this, we need experts support to ensure that the tool is 100% accessible. We want to include accessibility to blind people. We need a graphic designer to help improve the visual interface to adapt the application to different range of ages
RESOURCES AND ACTIVITIES TO WORK IN FAMINLIY AND WITH THE TEACHER FROM PRE-SCHOOL TO HIGH SCHOOL KIDS
The resources and activities that we will provide with the EMOTIOMETER will be design to use them in the family and at school. The school activities will be to work with kids from pre-school to secondary school.
COMUNICATIONS ACTIVITIES TO HELP THE EMOTIOMETER TO REACH MORE PEOPLE
Contacts, and face-to-face visits to schools and organisations that might be interested in using the EMOTIOMETER. It includes the marketing materials preparation, contacts, and face-to-face support.
PRINTOUT MARKETING MATERIALS FOR SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT THE TOOL AND THE CAMPAIGN
To help the crowdfunding campaign and afterwards to inform people about the opportunity of getting the EMOTIOMER APP for free (Main objective of this campaign), we will need to print brochure, bookmarks, and other materials that we will distributed during the campaign.

The EMOTIOMETER Project main objective is to actively contribute to improve our world.
The statistics about anxiety, depression, gender violence, bullying are worrying. Suicide cases are increasing at younger ages. We can’t ignore all these problems anymore! But what can we do about it?
These problems hide a lack of knowledge not properly addressed in today’s society. School and family are the most important actors that can provide children with an education for life that will protect them from these and other problems they will face in their lives.
Emotional learning is not being covered in today’s schools programs. Maths and Science are important. But is it not as important to teach children to control their impulses when they are angry in order to prevent violence and to teach them problem solving skills? Or develop their empathy? How can they focus and assimilate concepts if their emotions interfere with their learning and they don't know how to handle them?
We propose to focus our attention on how our children and students are feeling, and to track their emotional mood along time. The objective is to provide them with the socio-emotional tools that will allow them to face problems and difficulties with a higher probability of success.
An ambitious Objective? Where can we start?
The first step is to build a solid foundation for children´s social and emotional learning. They should start by understanding how they feel and identify their emotions and their emotions in others.
We have developed the first multiplatform application to help kids develop their emotional awareness. This application has been developed with experts in the areas of knowledge involved (teachers, SEL experts, psychologist).
The EMOTIOMETER is a tool that will help you care individually about the kid’s emotional mood. It can be used on personal computers, tablets and smart boards, including resources and activities. It will help to:
- Develop emotional awareness in kids (Identify their own emotions and other people´s emotions) in the classroom or at home with the ir family. Including activities and resources.
- Track the emotional mood in time and automatically display the data graphically.
- Help to detect emotional moods that might be a symptom of a problem that need to be addressed.
- Send reports and alerts to track the emotional mood.
The EMOTIOMETER is the result of a coordinated effort of a multidisciplinary Experts group that decided that a small action is better than no action at all.
The EMOTIOMETER is a platform that allows individually tracking the emotional mood in kids. It has two modules:
- A multiplatform APP that supports leaning about emotions.
- A WEB platform to track the emotions.
The application can be used both in Spanish and English. Its main objective is to help learning about emotions in the classroom, at school, and also at home.
The application allows working in a group or individually. From the app, you register the emotional mood through time.
It can be used on personal computers, tablets and smart boards.
The application will include resources and activities that will help families and teachers to start working with emotions with their children/students.
The Web platform allows tracking the emotional mood, accessing the stored data, statistics and graphics. It can be used from any device with an internet connection and a web browser.
The objective is to help teachers and families to detect in an early stage problems that might otherwise gone undetected. To do so, alerts will be send to teachers and parents. These alerts will be defined by experts in emotional learning, education, psychology and pedagogy. Being sad for a long time or a mood swing can be symptoms of worrying problems such as bullying or depression.
The EMOTIOMETER will send you the important data by e-mail, with the periodicity that the teacher/parent decide. To be sure that we don´t miss what is important!
Pourquoi est-ce important
The EMOTIOMETER´s objective is to help to teach emotional learning through the use of the technology. The final aim is to provide kids with tools that will allow them to face problems as serious as bullying, depression or suicide.
Trying to find the solution to these problems, we found out that emotional learning can act as a prevention method to all these problems.
The EMOTIOMETER is a tool created with emotional learning experts knowledge to walk the first step that moves us closer to our objective: providing tools to support emotional learning and helping detecting problems.
Even though the EMOTIOMETER can be used by anyone interested in emotional learning, it was specifically designed to help kids with emotional learning.
This Project is aimed at anybody responsible for a kid’s emotional wellness: parents, teachers, educators and Health professionals. People who share with us the urgent need to offer kids the education that includes the skills needed to live in the 21st century. And also to any person who wants to see a change in education, through the integration of emotional learning through technology.
This is a call to action for people like you, who want to fight against the Emotional illiteracy to be able to change the world. Can you help us?
Objectifs de la campagne de crowdfunding
This Crowdfunding Campaign wants to make a dream come true. The dream that each family, centre or school that consider important to start working in emotional learning can have the EMOTIOMETER (The APP that helps learning and register emotions) as a free tool. We consider emotional learning a RIGHT, not a privilege.
This crowdfunding campaign will allow us to add new functionalities, improve accessibility and usability, improve the web platform including reports, support first experiences in schools, and develop learning materials(user manual, activities) that will be provided with the tool.
It will allow us to program Alerts, based on research, that could warn when there are indications of a problem. These alerts are an essential functionality to support the mission of preventing big problems such as bullying, anxiety and suicide.
Our mid-term objective is to prove that it is possible to work emotional learning in the school while you teach other subjects. We hope that social and emotional learning can have a place in the school curriculum in the near future.
The educational mode defines how our country will be in the future and we want emphatic leaders that believe in the common good, and with ability for solving conflicts in a positive way.

To be able to get this, we want to elaborate transformation plans for schools, so they can find the best way of integrating socio-emotional learning in the classroom, through teacher education and a specific strategic plan.
Ambitious? Then listen to our long-term objective.
We aim to prevent bulling, violence, depression and avoid unnecessary deaths, thanks to a better emotional learning in early ages. So, even if it sounds idealistic, we want to ‘Help to change the world’. So we are going to need some help and probably more than 40 days that the campaign last.

Once we realised that Emotional learning was the way to help us prevent many of the problems our kids will face, we looked for experts in emotional learning: teachers, physiologists, and researchers with whom we share the goal.
Only the work of these engaged professional group can make the EMOCIOMETER a solid reality and, because of that, we want to present their professional trajectory, so you can understand how important they are for the project.
Dr. Antonio Esquivias Villalobos - Training and support for teachers and families learning the emotional basis to work with the EMOTIOMETER. Working on Emotional learning since 1992. Director of the first University Degree dedicated to emotional intelligence in Spain at the Camilo José Cela University.He specialises in training teachers to implement emotional learning projects on schools.
Dr. Lorea Martinez - Advisor to integrate the EMOTIOMETER as a TIC tool for the teachers.Excellence Award in social and emotional learning research by the American Education Research Association. Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Consultant helping schools and teachers to integrate social and emotional learning in their programs and methods.
Dr. Joaquín Mora Merchán - Reseach and studies for implementing indicators and warnings in the EMOTIOMETER. PhD in Psychology. Director of the Evolutive Psychology department at Sevilla University. With more than 20 years studying problems of bullying, cyberbullying, school conflicts, attention to the diversity, improving school coexistence. Program design forintervention based in the socio-emotional development of the students.
Ignacio Tamarit - Statistics, research and metrics for the EMOTIOMETER.Degree in theoretical Physics and graduate in Music. After several years as a teacher, now he is part of the Interdisciplinary Complex Systems Group (GISC) at the Mathematics department of the Carlos III University in Madrid, where he is doing his PhD in the European project IBSEM, investigating about the modelling of social systems.
Mónica Silvina Martinez Viscio - Support developing activities and resources for helping emotional learning. Pre-elementary teacher with more than 25 years of experience in Argentina and Spain. Master’s Degree in emotional intelligence. She develops emotional learning workshops for teachers and families. Course coordinator and vice-president in the Philosophical Association for Children, whose objective is to teach kids to think by themselves in a cooperative and solidary discussion.
Oscar Zaragoza Fernández - Technical Lead and Project Manager.Software Engineer with more than 10 year experience programming in different languages, highly killed professional with the ability to deal with change, problem resolution, design and analysis. Always willing to learn and to face new challenges.
Elsa García Diez - Crowdfunding Campaign Manager Design of products and services. Training and applications usability for the EMOTIOMETER.Degree in Physics with more than 10 years of experience in international software projects,designing and developing training programs, and testing usability with final users. Expert in identifying needs and finding solutions.
