LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR (@sebas.drx):
This project is born from the need to close a very personal wound that I have been dragging since my pre-adolescence.
Growing up discovering that my sexuality did not match that of my environment, I let the fear of rejection prevent me from living this stage of discovery with the normality and freedom it requires, which led me to find myself in different risky situations that someone so young, without the necessary maturity, should not face anything in the world.
Going through my sexual awakening meeting people over the internet, behind my parents' backs and without any kind of support or protection, led me to absolutely terrifying experiences. Today, by analyzing them with the necessary distance and perspective, I am able to understand the true danger to which I was exposed, and to which many young queer people who find themselves in similar situations are exposed.
Caractéristiques principales
THE PROJECT
Hasta que deje de latir is part of the selection of final degree projects that the production company ESCAC FILMS has done this year. Although it is true that Día Productora provides us, not only with material and infrastructure, but also with mentoring and advice, sometimes a little more is necessary to carry out projects with the ambition of telling stories like ours. Hasta que deje de latir, which is produced thanks to an association between ESCAC FILMS and La Cova Films, intends through this campaign to achieve that little bit more, also making other outsiders to the university and studies can be part of the project with their small contribution, in exchange, obviously, always for a reward.
And, if despite that, you cannot contribute financially to the project, don't worry, there are many ways to help a lot with very little. For example, sharing this same link on your social networks or supporting and Following the entire process of building and carrying out the project on our networks (Instagram or Tik Tok) under the name @hastaquedejedelatir.

OUR INTENTION
For us, cinema is a really powerful tool to generate a discourse that can help and awaken something in the audience. On a personal level, cinema has always helped us in some way or another and that is how we understand it, as a place where we can go whenever we need it. At the same time it is also our passion, something that we enjoy simply for the sake of doing it, that makes us happy and motivates us.
This short film brings these two visions together, leading our efforts to create something that intends to share a personal experience, that can help people who find themselves in similar situations to feel accompanied, while using a genre that not only we are passionate about and enjoy shooting, but it is also completely consistent with what we want to tell.
Pourquoi est-ce important
Our main motivation in carrying out this project is to be able to share a personal story, as a terrifying fable, that shows how dangerous it can be for queer people not being able to live their sexual awakening naturally.
The horrible situations that a person so young can find themselves in when being guided by fear leave their mark, as it was in this case, and being able to share and report them is a first step towards a much-needed change .
This short is addressed to all those people who have ever found themselves in a similar situation and also to all those who have not, because being able to grow up in a safe environment, without fear of being who you are, should not be a privilege and it is everyone's responsibility to build a world in which this ceases to be.
Expérience antérieure et équipe
Our team brings together many people from many different departments and places, although, despite that, the idea for the short film was born among a small group of 5 students from the Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Caraluña (ESCAC). These students, who with time and training have become more professional, now number more than 5, and the team is currently made up of a large number of people each specialized in their respective department.
