À propos du projet

HQDDL, a short horror film that aims to show the horrible darkness of one of the corners where fear is capable of taking us.

Budget Matériel Minimal Optimal
MVP
Being a horror short with various monstrous characters characterized by many practical effects, the short film is in dire need of makeup and prosthetics. Although it is true that they could be purchased at a better price from unknown suppliers, that would put the health of the cast at risk, something that above all we ensure does not happen.
£ 214
PHOTOGRAPHY
Although it is true that ESCAC FILMS provides us with certain material and infrastructure, the proposal made by the HQDDL team for the photography of the short is intended to be more ambitious than this material allows us, especially so that the photographic proposal narratively accompanies the short film in all time. For this reason, we will require the rental of photography and light equipment to carry out the short film, see optics, camera accessories, dimmable led spotlights...
£ 320
ART DEP
Since this entire short film will be shot on a set, we must build absolutely everything from scratch. Obviously, this implies certain costs and equipment that is not easy to obtain. From the painting for each wall, like the false walls (panots) themselves, to each piece of furniture, sheet, doll, or any other prop that appears in the short. In addition, it should be noted that given the setting of the short, many of the objects that we will use do not exist as such, and we will have to completely build them as well as the set to achieve the setting of the story.
£ 320
Budget Infrastructure Minimal Optimal
PRODUCTION DEP
To make the short film, of course, we will need a great team of people. Until now, the filming and practices that we have done have never dropped below 30 people. Taking into account this average of 30 people per day of shooting for 5 days, it is more than evident that a part of the budget will go towards taking care of the crew. Provide food and drink for the entire team thanks to a catering company, cover the transportation costs of the people involved in the short film, and insure all these people so that they are covered and safe in the event of an accident throughout the shoot.
£ 299
POSTPO
Although many forget the work that takes place after the shoot, in fact, it can be even longer than the one before the shoot. During post-production, HQDDL will have to go through editors, colorists, VFX specialists, sound engineers and many other post-production processes that, obviously, apart from time and people, require a lot of material and computer infrastructure.
£ 128
ADS & Marketing
It is just as important to make the short as to move the short, for that very reason, being able to have a marketing and advertising company that would help the project grow and make itself known would be sensational.
£ 854
Budget Tâche Minimal Optimal
FESTIVALS
It is not only important to promote the short film on social networks but also at film festivals. Winning awards gives the short a cachet and provides the team with an unparalleled resume. For this reason, allocating a budget to be able to take said short to festivals all over the world is just as important.
£ 427
Copies and dubbing
In the best case where the short film was great, we would like to be covered financially. In the event that the short film was widely viewed and requested, it would have to be subtitled and dubbed by professional studios, so it is important to save part of the budget for this.

Title: Hasta que deje de latir
Typology: Short film
Duration: 15 minutes
Format: Digital
Genre: Horror, Horror-fantastic
Language: Spanish

LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR (@sebas.drx):

This project is born from the need to close a very personal wound that I have been dragging since my pre-adolescence.

Growing up discovering that my sexuality did not match that of my environment, I let the fear of rejection prevent me from living this stage of discovery with the normality and freedom it requires, which led me to find myself in different risky situations that someone so young, without the necessary maturity, should not face anything in the world.

Going through my sexual awakening meeting people over the internet, behind my parents' backs and without any kind of support or protection, led me to absolutely terrifying experiences. Today, by analyzing them with the necessary distance and perspective, I am able to understand the true danger to which I was exposed, and to which many young queer people who find themselves in similar situations are exposed.

Caractéristiques principales

THE PROJECT

Hasta que deje de latir is part of the selection of final degree projects that the production company ESCAC FILMS has done this year. Although it is true that Día Productora provides us, not only with material and infrastructure, but also with mentoring and advice, sometimes a little more is necessary to carry out projects with the ambition of telling stories like ours. Hasta que deje de latir, which is produced thanks to an association between ESCAC FILMS and La Cova Films, intends through this campaign to achieve that little bit more, also making other outsiders to the university and studies can be part of the project with their small contribution, in exchange, obviously, always for a reward.

And, if despite that, you cannot contribute financially to the project, don't worry, there are many ways to help a lot with very little. For example, sharing this same link on your social networks or supporting and Following the entire process of building and carrying out the project on our networks (Instagram or Tik Tok) under the name @hastaquedejedelatir.

WHY GOTEO AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Goteo is a crowdfunding platform full of advantages over the rest. To begin with, Goteo allows us to receive donations for 80 days from its inception, which is already more than other platforms can. In addition, in Goteo anyone can contribute, be it individual, company, organization, etc. And the way to do it is very easy, since just by creating an account Goteo is flexible with the payment methods. But not only that, Goteo also allows you to recover between 35% and 80% of your contribution in your next declaration before the Tax Agency, using the proof of donation provided by Goteo.

Download the certificate of your contribution in the section Donation certificate of your user panel and it will be valid for the declaration that you will present the year coming. You can obtain more information about obtaining the certificate by clicking here.

* Important: this tax improvement does not affect outside of Spain, nor in the Basque Country or Navarra, which maintain a different foral regime and therefore the applicable deductions may be different.

We invite you to consult the official source to obtain more detailed information on the tax relief that may be applied in your statement.

OUR INTENTION

For us, cinema is a really powerful tool to generate a discourse that can help and awaken something in the audience. On a personal level, cinema has always helped us in some way or another and that is how we understand it, as a place where we can go whenever we need it. At the same time it is also our passion, something that we enjoy simply for the sake of doing it, that makes us happy and motivates us.

This short film brings these two visions together, leading our efforts to create something that intends to share a personal experience, that can help people who find themselves in similar situations to feel accompanied, while using a genre that not only we are passionate about and enjoy shooting, but it is also completely consistent with what we want to tell.

sin-titulo-1.2.-2.jpg

Pourquoi est-ce important

Our main motivation in carrying out this project is to be able to share a personal story, as a terrifying fable, that shows how dangerous it can be for queer people not being able to live their sexual awakening naturally.

The horrible situations that a person so young can find themselves in when being guided by fear leave their mark, as it was in this case, and being able to share and report them is a first step towards a much-needed change .

This short is addressed to all those people who have ever found themselves in a similar situation and also to all those who have not, because being able to grow up in a safe environment, without fear of being who you are, should not be a privilege and it is everyone's responsibility to build a world in which this ceases to be.

Expérience antérieure et équipe

Our team brings together many people from many different departments and places, although, despite that, the idea for the short film was born among a small group of 5 students from the Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Caraluña (ESCAC). These students, who with time and training have become more professional, now number more than 5, and the team is currently made up of a large number of people each specialized in their respective department.
